Choose your system
Claber will help you choose the irrigation or watering system best suited to your needs, explain how it works, and calculate the number of sprinklers or drippers you can use, by way of these simple interactive diagrams.
The first thing you must know is the flow rate, in other words the amount of water passing through the system per unit of time (litres / minute). You can measure this using a vessel of known capacity (10 litres, for example) and a watch.
The next step is to choose the type of system you want: above-ground, with pulsating sprinklers, drip irrigation for pot plants, above-ground with micro-sprinklers, underground ‘Colibrì System’, or underground with pop-up, mini-rotor or turbine sprinklers.
Follow the instructions presented in each section: you can view the system and its components, turn on the ‘virtual tap’, indicate the water flow rate and ‘install’ sprinklers to cover different areas (360°, 180°, 90°) along the main hose, until the available flow rate is used up.
A simple and interactive tool, fun to use, that will tell you which system is best for your needs, and how many sprinklers are required.
Calculate how many pulsating sprinklers you can use on each line
a. turn on the water
b. indicate your available flow rate
The blue line indicates the flow rate you ha
ve available; each segment of a circle corresponds to an area of 90° covered by one sprinkler. A 360° sprinkler uses four segments, an 180° sprinkler uses two segments and a 90° sprinkler one segment.
Select the sprinklers you want to install by clicking on the blue area tabs, until all your available flow rate is used up. You can try out different possibilities and combinations, clicking on the ‘back to start’ button.
Example: with a flow rate of 30 l/min available, you can select one 360° sprinkler and one 180°, or three 180° sprinklers, or one 360° and two 90° sprinklers, and so on.

Example of a system with drippers, for the patio
a. turn on the water
This is a simple system you can set up easily yourself, using a battery-powered timer and Claber Rain Jet drippers. It will water up to 20 pots.

Example of system for low level plants and hedges
a. turn on the water
This do-it-yourself system uses an Aqua 2 battery-powered timer to control two separate lines: one with a dripper hose, and one with micro-sprinklers mounted on stakes.
